Privacy policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

Go There (the "app") is operated by Perfectly Content Management Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus, which is the data controller for the purposes of the EU GDPR. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Go There — whether on the web at gothere.fun or as our mobile app on the Apple App Store and Google Play. We've tried to keep it short and plain. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

The short version

Go There has no user accounts and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal details. Your progress (saved questions, streaks, and badges) is stored only on your own device, never on our servers. We do collect a small amount of anonymous usage data — which screens and vibes get used — so we can tell which parts of the app work; it is not linked to you or to any identifier that follows you around, and you can switch it off. We never record the answers you give to questions. To keep the app free we show ads, and the mobile app offers an optional “Really Go There” monthly subscription that unlocks the full deck and removes them. Our ads are served non-personalized (contextual) by default — we do not use your advertising ID to build a profile of you or track you across other apps. The details are below.

Information stored on your device

To make the app work, we save the following locally on your device (in your browser's localStorage on the web, or in the app's on-device storage on mobile):

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. You can erase it at any time by clearing the app's data (mobile) or your browser's site data (web). The anonymous usage data described in the next section is separate from this, and is the only thing the app sends us.

Anonymous usage data

Go There collects a small amount of anonymous information about how the app is used, so we can see which parts people enjoy and which get in the way.

This includes a randomly generated installation ID, your device platform and app version, your device's language and region setting, and a record of in-app actions such as which vibe you picked or when a screen was shown.

The installation ID is created on your device and is not your advertising ID or any device identifier. It is not linked to your name, email or any account — Go There has no accounts. Reinstalling the app creates a new ID. We do not collect your location, and we never record the answers you give to questions — those are spoken out loud and never touch the device.

We do not sell this data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices. In the EU, UK and Switzerland nothing is collected unless you accept when asked. Everywhere else this is on by default and you can turn it off at any time — in the app, tap “Usage data” at the bottom of the home screen; on the website, use “Privacy choices”. To request deletion of data associated with your installation, email info@perfectly-content.com.

Advertising

We show ads to keep Go There free. By default our ads are non-personalized — they are based on the content of the app and general context, not on a profile of your interests or your activity in other apps.

In our mobile apps (Google AdMob). The iOS and Android apps use Google AdMob to display ads. For non-personalized ads, Google may process limited data such as coarse (country-level) location derived from your IP address, device and diagnostic information, and a signal used for frequency capping, ad measurement, and fraud prevention. We do not use your device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA) to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and on iOS we do not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission because we do not track you in that way. See how AdMob handles data.

On the web (Google AdSense). The website uses Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info. For more on how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

In-app purchases (“Really Go There”)

The mobile app offers an optional “Really Go There” monthly subscription, which unlocks the full question deck and removes ads. Payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies — we never see or receive your card or payment details. To deliver your purchase across your devices and let you restore it, we use RevenueCat to validate the store receipt and manage the subscription entitlement. RevenueCat receives the store transaction/receipt and a randomly generated, app-specific identifier; it does not receive your name or email. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. Apple requires a “Restore Purchases” option, which the app provides.

Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK)

Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases:

Consent for users in the EEA, UK & Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, non-essential access to your device is denied by default and used only after you give consent. In the mobile app we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent choice where required; on the web we use Google Consent Mode and a consent management platform. Where you do not consent, ads shown are non-personalized. You can change or withdraw consent at any time (see “Managing your choices”).

International data transfers

Our providers — Google (AdMob / AdSense) and RevenueCat — and their sub-processors may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK equivalents. See Google's advertising privacy resources for details.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no account and store nothing about you on our own servers, most requests concern data processed by Google for advertising or by RevenueCat for purchases — exercise those choices through the links above, or contact us at info@perfectly-content.com and we will help. EEA users also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — either their local data protection authority or our lead authority, the Cyprus Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.

US state privacy rights (California & others)

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a privacy law, you have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. Because our ads are non-personalized by default, we do not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can still exercise the industry opt-out links above, and on the web we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request.

Managing your choices

In the mobile app, you can reopen your advertising-consent choice at any time from the app's “Privacy choices” option, which reopens the Google consent controls. On the web, use the “Privacy choices” link in the footer. You can additionally clear the app's data or your browser's cookies and on-device storage through your device settings.

To turn off anonymous usage data: in the mobile app, tap “Usage data” at the bottom of the home screen — one tap, no dialog. On the web it is governed by the same “Privacy choices” control as advertising.

Children's privacy

Go There is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and it is not part of the Apple Kids Category or the Google Play Families program. While the app includes light, playful, family-friendly prompts, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and advertising is configured as non-personalized and not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

Data retention & security

On-device data persists until you clear it. The anonymous usage data described above is held in our database (hosted in the EU) for as long as it is useful for product analysis, and is never joined to your identity because we hold no identity to join it to. Purchase-entitlement records held by our store and RevenueCat are retained as needed to honor and restore your purchase. All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
