Privacy policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

Go There (the "app") is operated by Perfectly Content Management Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus, which is the data controller for the purposes of the EU GDPR. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app at gothere.fun. We've tried to keep it short and plain. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

The short version

Go There has no user accounts and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal details. Your progress (saved questions, streaks, and badges) is stored only on your own device in your browser, never on our servers. The main way third parties may collect data is through the advertising we show, described below.

Information we store on your device

To make the app work, we save the following in your browser's localStorage on your device:

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this app.

Advertising & Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display ads, which helps keep the app free. To do this, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies. Specifically:

For more on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK)

Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases:

Consent for users in the EEA, UK & Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, advertising and other non-essential cookies are denied by default and used only after you give consent. We use Google Consent Mode and a consent management platform to collect and respect that choice, as required by the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. Where you do not consent, any ads shown will be non-personalized. You can change or withdraw consent at any time (see "Managing your choices").

International data transfers

Our advertising partner Google and its sub-processors may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK equivalents. See Google's advertising privacy resources for details.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no account and store nothing about you on our own servers, most requests concern data processed by Google for advertising — exercise those choices through the Google and industry opt-out links above, or contact us at info@perfectly-content.com and we will help. EEA users also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — either their local data protection authority or our lead authority, the Cyprus Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.

US state privacy rights (California & others)

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a privacy law, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising — serving personalized ads may count as "sharing" under these laws. Use the "Privacy choices" link in the app to opt out, along with the industry opt-out links above. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request.

Managing your choices

You can review or change your advertising-cookie consent at any time using the "Privacy choices" link in the app's footer, which reopens the consent controls. This is also the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism for US state-law purposes. You can additionally clear cookies and on-device storage through your browser settings.

Children's privacy

Go There is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). While the app includes light, family-friendly prompts, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is configured for a general audience. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

Data retention & security

On-device data persists until you clear it. We do not operate a database of user information. The app is served over HTTPS.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
